Center Stage Newsletter January 2012
Happy New Year! We hope everyone had a
safe and Merry Christmas! Most
important, all the instructors at Center
Stage would like to THANK YOU for their
Christmas gifts. We truly appreciate
your generosity and kindness. Thanks
again for remembering all of us!
All recital costumes have been ordered.
If you have not paid your costume
payment in full, the second and final
costume payment is due February 1st.
Please turn in your payment to the
office. Late fees will be issued if
payments are not received by the
February 1st deadline.
Our annual
recital will take place on June 15 and
16 (the location will be announced
soon). Dress Rehearsal will take place
on Thursday, June 14th. All level two
classes and higher will perform both
days of the recital. All level 1-2
classes and below will perform on one
day of the recital. For now, please keep
the entire weekend free. Thank you!
Also, our tentative date for Picture Day
will be Sunday, June 3rd.
Congratulations to the January students'
of the month winners, Gianna Mazeska,
Joey Verbana, and Alyssa Aycock. All
three dancers were selected for their
hard-work and being great teammates.
Great job dancers!
Just a
reminder the lost & found is emptied the
last Monday of every month. Please check
the coat room for any of your
belongings. Please ensure that when you
come to class, you put your belongings
in the coat room and not in the lobby.
In addition, please do not leave
anything valuable in your dance bags!
Congratulations to the Milan
family! They are the winners of this
months vehicle sticker drawing. If you
did not win this month, there are still
four more chances to win. There is no
need to re-register. If you would still
like to get in for next months drawing,
vehicle stickers can be picked up in the
office.

Aspire News

All costumes that have not already been
handed out will be passed out during the
next two months. The balances for
company costumes will be given shortly
after the costumes are completed. Any
deposit you may have made will come off
of the costume total, and be placed in
your company account when the costume
bills come in.
The competition
make-up has been ordered. Please
remember that all dancers MUST wear the
exact same make-up. Tanya will be giving
the make-up and hair demonstration on
Saturday, January 21st at 4:45 in room
1. All parents that have not previously
attended should attend; any makeup not
already passed out will be distributed
at the meeting and throughout the rest
of that week. Feel free to bring your
daughter to the demonstration in order
to practice applying the makeup while
Tanya demonstrates. If your daughter is
unable to attend, you may want to bring
paper and a pencil to write things down.
January 14th is the Aspire practice
at Wood Dale Jr High in Wood Dale. All
Aspire dancers (including Pre-Company
and the Broadway Babies) will be
attending the rehearsal. If you have
received your costume, please wear it.
If you have not received your costume,
please wear a black half-top and black
dancer shorts. The time and schedule has
already been sent out.
January
15th is the Aspire Convention at Center
Stage. We have some great teachers lined
up for this years convention. This is
required for all dancers Jr. Mini
through Senior. The schedule for this
has been sent out; we will not schedule
extra group rehearsals on January 16th
due to the long weekend, but we will
still have class that night.

Performing Troupe News
Great job at your first show at the
Bloomingdale Horizon! We were very
impressed at how polished the
numbers looked this early in the
year. We are so proud of you!
We are looking forward to the
next Performing Troupe show at the
Friendship Village in Schaumburg on
January 15th. The show time will be
2:00, so all dancers should arrive
in costume no later than 1:30.
The Friends and Family Show will
be Sunday, February 19th and the
rehearsal for the show will be on
Friday, February 17th. Times will be
forthcoming. Good luck and have fun!
There is no March show this
year, but we will be doing the
Health Fair in April (we will have a
date soon) as well as Rainbow Dance
Competition April 13-15. Rainbow
will be at the Paramount Theatre in
Aurora and the competition usually
furnishes us with a schedule 1-2
weeks prior to the event.
